Let me share a bit about myself. Over my decade of experience, I’ve made countless mistakes. I started young, without much knowledge, lacking a solid network or peer support system, and was pretty naive in decision-making. But I had one thing that kept me going: Commitment.
I was committed to being part of the 2%, not the 98%. I was committed to turning my dreams into reality, challenging myself, and trusting the path I’d chosen. From humble beginnings selling soft drinks, snacks, phone cards, CDs, and DVDs to fellow construction workers, I found solutions to their everyday needs. That’s how entrepreneurs operate—we see problems as opportunities, while others sit back and complain about the system or their fate.
Fast forward to today: I now run a leading cleaning services company with a workforce of over 200 employees. We’ve built a diverse global team and expanded into other service industries, including the recent launch of Ladnek Media.
I was committed to being part of the 2%, not the 98%. I was committed to turning my dreams into reality, challenging myself, and trusting the path I’d chosen. One key trait was my ability to see crises as opportunities. When COVID-19 shut down the business world, I pivoted. I leveraged the networks I’d built during trade shows to procure medical equipment and essentials, making my business one of the most sought-after during the pandemic.
Another critical factor was investing in myself. I pursued an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, and specialized training with the Cleaning Management Institute and NUS Business School in Singapore. These steps didn’t just add to my qualifications; they gave me the tools to grow my business strategically.
Today, I’m proud to say I’ve diversified my ventures—running Ladnek Limited, launching Ladnek Media, and expanding income streams into Legin Rental and Legin Global. I also host *Dai Good Talk,* where I unapologetically share my blunt, unfiltered side while discussing relationships, dating, and life with friends.
Here’s what I’ve learned: when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like a burden, even on your hardest days. But discovering your true potential isn’t always easy—and that’s where having a mentor can make all the difference.
